Daily App Store Ratings, Including Ratings Without Reviews

Until now, the only App Store feedback Easy App Reports collected was written reviews - which leaves out most of it. Most people who rate an app never write anything, and Apple's Reviews API doesn't return those silent star ratings at all, so your rating count and average lived only inside App Store Connect.

That changes today. A new daily job records your rating count and average star rating per country, and lands them in a new as_ratings table.

✨ Daily Ratings Snapshots

Every day we look up each of your selected apps in every storefront that matters for your account, and store one row per app, per country, per day: the total number of ratings and the average star rating at that moment.

Because it snapshots a lifetime total rather than a daily delta, you can chart how your rating count and average move over time - something App Store Connect itself doesn't let you look back on. To see ratings gained over a period, compare the count on two dates.

🌍 Choosing Countries

By default we collect the countries you actually have store data for, taken from the last 90 days of your Sales Trends data (or your Analytics data, for sources on that path). New markets show up on their own as soon as they appear in your data.

For a source that hasn't synced any store data yet, there's a new Countries setting in the App Store Connect setup, and we use the countries you pick there in the meantime. If you set nothing, we start from US, DE, BR, IN and ID until your data tells us better.

📊 Where to Find It

BigQuery: a new as_ratings table in each App Store dataset, and in the unified ear_all_sources dataset. No setup needed on your end.

Looker Studio: connect the as_ratings table as a new data source.

Sync Status: a new Ratings section shows when each source was last collected, how many apps are covered, and which countries are being watched.

📌 A Few Things to Know

• Ratings are collected once per UTC day, per source, on Pro plans.
• An app with no ratings yet in a storefront is stored with a count of 0 and an empty average - never a 0-star average, which isn't something a user can actually leave and would distort any average across countries.
• An app that isn't sold in a storefront simply produces no row for it, rather than a zeroed one.
