New Integration: Apple Search Ads for BigQuery!

We're excited to announce our new Apple Search Ads (ASA) integration which is now available for all customers on our BigQuery plan.

The ASA integration allows you to seamlessly sync campaign metrics on both ad and keyword-level, simplifying your analytics workflow and centralizing your data. Here's what you need to know:

What's New

  • Automatic data synchronization between Search Ads and your Google BigQuery project every 12 hours
  • Track your ASA campaign metrics on both Ad-level and Keyword-level, plus plenty of other dimensions such as: Country, App Name, Product Page, Creative Type, and more!

How to connect to Search Ads

  • Safely connect using your Apple login
  • Grant “read” permissions and select which accounts to connect
  • Optional: run “queue sync” (under the ”Tools” tab) to speed up your BigQuery update
  • Start with a Magic Template or explore on your own

And, as always, here's the documentation for each table:

Oh, and just one more thing: we're not stoping here

We're working on something truly special as it marks a shift in our product vision:

You'll soon also get calculated metrics!

What is a calculated metric, you ask?

Well, for example: you'll be able to visualize your iOS organic downloads without having to blend tables or apply crazy filters — we'll automatically subtract paid ASA installs from your Search and Browse downloads.

Another example is Ad-level ROAS. We'll do that using your Custom Product Pages as a common key between ASA and the App Store. So if you're not using CPPs on your campaigns yet, you better hurry ;)

These are our very first calculated metrics. We'll keep an eye out for your feedback as we're planing to make this

This integration has been in our idea backlog for a while so it feels great to make it available to you! As always we can't wait to hear your feedback and suggestions, of course.

Happy dashboarding,

The EAR team.
